How often does STRC pay dividends?

Every day starting Nov 1, 2026. Each calendar day, weekends and holidays included, is a record date, and that day's dividend is paid the next business day. STRC paid monthly from August 2025 to June 2026 and twice a month from July to October 2026. Strategy says the move to daily payments does not change the rate or the total paid (8-K, Oct 28, 2026).

What is the STRC dividend rate?

12.00% a year on the $100 stated amount: $12.00 per share a year, or $1.00 a month. It started at 9.00% in Aug 2025 and has been 12.00% since the Jul 15, 2026 record date. The daily amount is $0.03 or $0.04, which adds up to $1.00 for Nov 2026. STRC dividends are cumulative: unpaid dividends are still owed (10-Q).

How is the STRC dividend rate set?

Strategy's board sets the rate for each period and announces it in an 8-K and at strategy.com/strc. It can raise or lower the rate, but a cut in any one period is limited and the rate cannot go below the monthly SOFR rate (10-Q). Strategy has said management will recommend keeping the rate at 12.00% until STRC has shown sustained, healthy trading near $100 a share (8-K, Sep 30, 2026).

What is the STRC ex-dividend date?

With T+1 settlement the ex-dividend date is the record date when the record date is a trading day. When it falls on a weekend or holiday, Nasdaq uses the trading day before. Example from Strategy: the Nov 6, 7 and 8, 2026 record dates all have a Nov 6 ex-date and are paid Nov 9. Buy on Nov 6 and you get none of the three; sell on Nov 6 and you keep all three (8-K, Oct 28, 2026). Every date is in the table below.

Did STRC cut its dividend?

No. The yearly rate has only gone up, from 9.00% to 12.00%. Each payment is smaller because STRC moved from monthly to twice-monthly to daily payments; at 12.00% the total is still $1.00 a month.

Are STRC dividends taxable?

Strategy says it expects its preferred dividends to be a non-taxable return of capital, up to each holder's tax basis, because it has no accumulated earnings and profits, and it does not expect any for the foreseeable future, which it put at ten years or more (8-K, Oct 30, 2025). What ranks ahead of STRC?

Strategy's debt ($6.72 billion at book value on Sep 30, 2026) and its STRF preferred. STRC ranks ahead of STRE, STRK, STRD and the common stock (10-Q). Strategy held 848,517 bitcoin on Oct 25, 2026, worth $65.71 billion at $77,446 per bitcoin; its debt plus all preferred stock ($20.83 billion) was 32% of that (earnings release, Oct 29, 2026).
